Newcastle Business School is one of the largest schools within Northumbria University.
Located in the North East of England's biggest and most dynamic city, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumbria University is an expanding multicultural learning community with its sights set firmly on a global future.
The University has excellent links with both further and higher education, at home and abroad. It also enjoys thriving and long-established partnerships with industry and commerce throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
£100 million futuristic new campus
2007 saw the opening of a brand new £100 million campus adjacent to Newcastle city centre and the existing Northumbria City campus.
The new building accommodates Newcastle Business School, School of Law and School of Design while the existing City site will be refurbished and reconfigured in what is our biggest-ever investment programme.
Our vision is to create a world class unified campus, pedestrianised and landscaped, and linked by a futuristic walkway to make Northumbria University 'the' modern university location of choice.
Over 25,000 students from multiple countries across the globe
To be at Northumbria University now is to be part of a huge, vibrant student community that includes Newcastle University and other city colleges.
Northumbria alone has over 25,000 students from various countries studying many different programmes within the schools of Business; Applied Sciences; Arts & Social Services; Built Environment; Computing, Engineering & Information Science; Design; Health, Community & Education Studies; Psychology & Sports Sciences and Law as well as a Virtual Graduate School.
Excellent teaching. Excellent employment prospects.
With such excellent facilities, teaching and programmes it's no wonder that The Times Good University Guide 2006 said 'Always among the leading new universities in the Times League table, Northumbria outperforms the rest of its peer group this year'
Newcastle Business School also enjoys a higher-than-average staff student ratio and graduates enjoy better employment prospects than most others.
Professor Kel Fidler, Vice-Chancellor of Northumbria University, said:
"This achievement sets Northumbria apart as the leading modern university in the UK and is a significant achievement in an increasingly competitive arena. It is a compliment to the quality of our teaching and the deep-seated culture within Northumbria of providing the best possible support for our students."
